Young Entrepreneurs of the Modern Day

By Office Bull at 06/07/08 20:46

, Entrepreneurs: Young Entrepreneurs

Many countries are now considered as young nations. It is because most of the countries nowadays have almost 75% of its population with age under 30 years old.

For the past decades, it has always been a trend that companies, corporations and other business platforms have a leader that is well educated and of course, many years of experienced. This means that most of the people hired to higher position or the ones that has the guts to create a business are those who are aged 30 and above. But that trend was long gone.

The youth of today are now more daring and more adventurous. Young entrepreneurs are now everywhere. There are CEO, CFO, Presidents and Chairmans of companies that are aged under 30.

The founder of the social networking website, Facebook, is actually 2 years my senior. He is 24 years old and yet his net worth is already $1.4 billion. Another notable young entrepreneur is the founder of Entrecard and the Million Dollar Wiki, 22 year old Graham Langdon. To date, these two person are known as the young version of Bill Gates. They made good fortunes on things they love doing the most, facing the computer and communicating with others.

As American youth become more productive and inclined on doing businesses, Asians on the other hand have a different kind of young entrepreneurs. Most young Asians who are business minded start doing their business on a small scale. Some are opening small canteens or restaurants, some just even open stores within their own garage. I have seen kids selling fruits at the back of their parents car. I for one, at 22, already have own small business. Most of the money that I used in building my current office is from what I earned from doing freelancing and side jobs when I was still in college. I am a working student and my experiences from my early works helped me in many ways. I learned lessons that I am applying to my current ventures.

So if you have ideas, develop and enhance it. If you think it will do good, do not be hesitant at all. Trying new things is always part of learning. Always remember that all things start small. And to become big is just a matter of determination and orientation.
