I am one of those people who is always in front of the computer for most of the day. I cannot last the day without browsing the latest news or scooping gossips about the newest fashion, movies or events. This is mainly due to the fact that I have a home office and I do most of my work here.
Before, I would just visit any site I think is good. I would even click on every advertisement that pops out, even those "You Won $1,000,000. CLICK HERE". Crap, I was such a newbie then. I care less about the threats I could gain from visiting sites that will install spywares on my computer and would go unnoticed. I was using Internet Explorer at that time, not because I like it but simply because it's the most common browser at that time. However, some three years ago, I was enlightened by a great fact.
I learned that using IE is not a safe thing to do. IE browser are very much vulnerable from outside sources like spywares and viruses. I have read a lot of reports confirming this and I really was alarmed by it. So I immediately look for a new browser that can protect my computer from these destructive viruses and spywares. And I landed with Mozilla Firefox.
I started using Mozilla Firefox for my home office computer about January 2005. I have never surfed the web before using other browser except IE, but the moment I used Firefox, I can really see the difference. I have faster browsing, the browser window is also neat and cleaner without those toolbars and stuffs in IE. And the pop-up blocker is working to its finest.
Since then, I never changed my browser client. I have been a loyal Firefox user for more than three years now! Firefox never failed to give me the best result I really need for a browser. My Firefox browser is now using add-ons that makes their service better. I can easily arranged everything or erase them when I wanted.
Recently, Firefox released a beta tester of Firefox 3, the newest version. It's better than ever. It's so fast, the searching is very smooth and most of all, it uses less memory than my previous one.
They are also rooting to get the Guinness World Record for having the highest number of software download in one day! They will be releasing the full version of Firefox 3 on an event they called Firefox Download Day 2008! The event has no definite date yet but I'm pretty sure a lot will participate in it. They even made a site for it where you can pledge that you will download the new version on that day! Visit the Firefox Download Day 2008 site now!
