Selling Things the Chinese Way

By Office Bull at 06/24/08 03:38

, shop: Chinese Shop

In every country, I believe there is a Chinese. They are probably the most spread out race in the whole world. China is one of the most populous country in the whole world so it's natural for its citizen to look for some other place to stay, and be rich.

The Chinese people are good in business. I don't know why, but I grew up knowing that they would outsell their neighboring shops. I have seen a lot of Chinese stores, I grew up visiting them, and I know that they care even for the smallest cent there is.

One of the best characteristic a Chinese possessed that makes them a good seller is their low pricing. If the original price of a bag from the dealer is $5, they would just sell it for like $5.10 or $5.20 and they don't mind. They believe its better to priced it low and have your goods be dispatched and be sold easily than selling it at a higher price but would not be sold easily.

But beware, since they priced it at a very low price, most of the products they sell is not always the best quality you can get. The old adage "You get what you pay for" is always true.

And also, if you are used to buying things at the Flea Markets, don't assume that you can use your haggling abilities with the Chinese. Haggling is not in their vocabulary. Whatever the written price is on the tag, that's it. You cannot change that. If ever they agreed for the haggle offer, say you want to get that $5.20 bag for a lower price, they will sell it to you at $5.15, lol. I've experience that a lot of times. But that's actually fine, because if they lower it, they will not profit from it anymore.

That is probably one of the reason why the Chinese are always successful in their business ventures. It's alright to start small and cheap, but eventually the fruits of your labor will be huge.
