Computer Assistance Interview

By Interviewer at 04/27/08 04:42

Name of your website?

Computer Assistance

Your name?

Bill Green

Your Location (city, etc)

Limassol

Please give us a short summary of your website?

We use the site primarily to promote our retail outlet and repair services, but we are now adding an on-line store facility.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

If you are in the computer business it is essential to have a web presence.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

This current site is our first one.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

The company name is Computer Assistance, unfortunately that domain was not available so I shortened it to computass.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

We are in a very unique geographical location on the island, being so central we have easy access to all the main areas of Cyprus.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

The aim of the site and the business in general is to become one of the major players in the computer industry of Cyprus.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Hard work usually pays off in the end I think.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

If I had any unlimited budget I would retire.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

I hope I get the opportunity to find out.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

None really we did a lot of background research prior to starting the business and it seems to have paid off.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Finding the right premises.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

We are still working on that one.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It hasn't.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

We ran in the UK for several years before moving to Cyprus last year, and I intend to keep going for many years to come.

What is your website address?

Computer Assistance
