Please give us a short summary of your website?
Visual Realm Printing is Florida’s premier online print firm. We specialize in the print of high quality postcards, brochures, business cards and more.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
The fact that I can get people a better product for a cheaper price. Making it better for everyone.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
December 2005. I launched my design firm website (www.thevisualrealm.com) before I could even finish college at the University of North Florida. Starting small we were able grow fast because of our direct to client relationships.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I am a very visual person and I wanted to be able to provide a wide spectrum of design and services, hence realm. I started with Visual Realm Design, just launched Visual Realm Print, and Visual Realm Clothing is right around the corner with our unique direct to garmet printer.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
My site and/or sites are different because I never use templates, We pride ourselves in never using any templates at all. I wanted to achieve a professional level while maintaining a edgy/modern feel.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Main goal is to make the name Visual Realm very large with all its companies and then sell and retire in the Caribbean.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Alot of time and effort. Constantly making all of my companies better on a daily basis while maintaining all our clients needs as well.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
Nothing too crazy that I unlimited budget would need. Just some backend functionality that is being added right now.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Without a doubt, we are built for growth. We are ready for the world.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
merchant accounts, taxes, credit card companies,
What has been your biggest challenge?
Getting my site completely 100% user friendly so that a 10 year old could use the printing calculator and understand all of what goes into printing.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Email Campaigns and search engine optimization.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
My expectations are high but this is just the start, search engine optimization doesnt happen overnight.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
I have had the site up for a month now and dont plan on stopping it any time soon. This will be with me till i die or sell it.
