Please give us a short summary of your website?
Information on my services of creating/designing custom scrapbooks and photo collages for celebratory ocassions like weddings, honeymoons, vacations, graduations, retirements, anniversaries, cherished pets, and anything else one can think of.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I wanted to build exposure for my services as well as provide a medium to showcase examples of my work. I aslo wanted to provide an easy way for clients to contact me and search information about myself and my services as well as provide personal experience testimaonials for later postings.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
This is my first site and it is about a week old.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I based it on my services provided.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
I have many examples of my work posted along with text explaining my business strategy. I also provide a pricing list and other business links that may help those visiting my site with their search process.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
I plan to keep it and build my buisiness.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
I am just starting, but hope that the site will more than pay for itself each and every year.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would probably hire someone to handle promotion work and building of the site and add an online store for my design services and added product lines to come.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
That is the plan. I want to turn this site into a career and hire other designers and employees if needed.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
I have had a hard time verifying my sites with search engines, due to my inexperience with placing coding. I am also waiting for responses for certain search engines as to if my site has been accepted or not.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Getting my site listed in search engines and finding other related business related sites to trade links with.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Still working on that.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
To soon to tell.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
only a week, but plan to kep it for years to come.
