As you can see on the picture, we have a very humble home office computer system courtesy of the 3D Animation mogul, Stefan Didak. Well, at least that's what I know about him.
If you want some help with describing what the photo is about, then I would be glad to give it. The main desktop is clearly composed of 7 large monitors. 4 Hyundai, 2 BenQ's and 1 from HP. That gives him 6400x1024 resolution for the above screens and 2560x1024 for the two lower screens.
The base is Core 2 Quad Q6700 ASUS P5E WS Pro 8GB RAM with a storage of a wapping (150 GB Raptors x 4) 600 GB RAID-0 and (1 TB x 4) 4.0 TB RAID-5. My brain is almost blown with the figures.
Well, how I was able to get facts about it? Mr. Didak is kind enough to let his amazed online visitors view his home office and even dedicated a page for the FAQs. Maybe he got too tired of answering emails sent to him everyday of how he built it and what is he using it for.
Now that's a good question right? According to his FAQs, he is using it to deal with very complex projects. With the convenience of multiple screens and CPUs, he doesn't have to switch screens, or was keep using one or two systems at a given time.
Now, if I ever have such computer system in home office that runs 24 hours a day, that means I will pay more to my electric bills than to what I earn, lol! My home office alone consumes almost a quarter of what I earn, and to think I only use 2 screens, 1 monitor for my daily use and 1 wide screen for my work related stuffs i.e. lots of graphic and image task.
And with that setup, its really not hard to be mistaken to be planning the third World War ha ha! Kidding. It looks like a military base with all those software for hacking other country's database and spying on different parts of the world, lol!
Dang! Shhhh! Why did you have to disclose my plans for taking over the world. I'm exposed! Eek! I spy with my little eye... your blog! :-)I'm afraid, though, that the current home office and pictures aren't going to be all that impressive anymore in the very near future (that is, after I have taken over the world). The site will have new images sometime in October after I've overhauled the office to a new "version 6". In order to facilitate taking over the world I'm adding a set of Ergotron LX arms and 6 new 24" Eizo screens and a few other new mystery "goodies". :-)
