Please give us a short summary of your website?
E-Business Juncture's web site is concerned with e-business and the small business person who is serious about setting up a long term business.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
Working for a large retail organization, I can see how ideas are not received from all members of the team. Many business solutions are lost within the bureaucracy due to organizational politics. I work towards harnessing the entrepreneurial spirit within people so they can break away from the bureaucracy and discover what is important in life.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
I launched my first commercial web site in March of 2007. The web site was for a florist.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
The web site name was related to the business name. E-Business represents the jist of the business, while juncture is the point that small businesses need to venture into emerging markets.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
What makes my web site different from others is the web site's originality. We see many web sites today that are simply templates without the owner’s personality being reflected. Also the broadness of offerings, most of which are information free to the public.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
My eventual goal is to grow the business to the point my children can enjoy the work. Like many small business owners, I am family orientated.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Time is free and when you are performing a service that you enjoy it makes it special. In regard to money, well my investment reflects what I anticipate from clients.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would not change the site, but create additional information.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
The demand is why I went into business in the first place. I do have an excellent support network that will be able to lend a hand where and when needed.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Legal fees and licenses. It is part of the business community, but the outlays can be stagering when you have not generated any revenue.
What has been your biggest challenge?
The biggest challenge has been content. I have many ideas to help the small business community as well as the information technology community and it takes time to incorporate those ideas.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Word of mouth within the community.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Running my web site has not differed from my expectations, because I enjoy the work.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
I have run the site for two months and it will remain up indefinitely.
What is your favorite phrase?
"There are no great limits to growth because there are no limits of human intelligence, imagination, and wonder." President Ronald Reagan
