Creating a business is not as easy as 1 2 3. It requires a lot of determination and knowledge for you to be able to establish a good business that will last for long years. Businesses do not really require a big starting capital, if you have the right amount and you are sure of what you are doing, then you are good to go.This is what my neighbor did. He doesn't have any big sum of money to spend for business promotion. His money is not even enough to rent an office when he was just starting. But if you can see him now, he's got a nice house, 2 cars and has started a couple of other businesses. He started with what he call "night profit".
His first business is rice congee store. If you don't know what a rice congee is, it is a basic recipe using rice, water with a few seasoning. In Asian countries, congees are often given to those who are sick, but over the years it is being eaten by almost everyone.
In my country, creating a congee store comes with the phrase "Tubong Lugaw", which means your profit from the business can be so high. Imagine, a casserole of congee will only cause you US$1 or $2 but you can sell it for $20 or more. The only problem is that eating congee on a hot day is not a good idea. So basically congees are sold at night. And that's were the term 'night profit' came from.
Congees are delicious, cheap and can be heavy on your stomach considering that it is full of carbohydrates. It is easy to prepare and do not require a big space. You just have to put a few tables and chairs in front of your house and voila, you already have your own store.
Profit from building such a store can be really great, the only downside of it is that you have to wake up late at night and putting it in location where people would usually pass by at night is a bit hard since most alleys nowadays do not allow businesses without taxes. The best option you have is in front of your house. Lucky if you live near the highway.
