Please give us a short summary of your website?
Ink Hub is a home operated business which sells high quality ink cartridges at very low prices.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I have been working full time for the past 20 years as a gravedigger and I am fed up. My health is not good so I decided to set up an online business so I could try to make enough income to spend more time with my family.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
My first website was a community website for Salisbury. It was about 8 years ago.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I wanted a name that was short and easy to remember.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
I think that our integrity and our customer service are the key factors that have helped to establish our business. Also our low prices and our commitment to make sure that the customer is always 100% happy regardless of what it takes.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
I would just like to continue to grow the business and to be able to make a reasonable income. I have no wish to be rich but simply to operate with integrity and do the very best I can to make the business work.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
At the moment I still work full time as well as running the website so it is very hectic. It has sucked up considerable money however the returns are now starting to come.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would make it graphically more appealing.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
I think so as I would quit my other job.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
WOW this page isnt big enough. For starters BAD webhosts. I cant stress how important it is to have a good reliable webhost.
What has been your biggest challenge?
I have done my own SEO on the site and it has been a challenge but Ive certainly learned heaps from the experience.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
SEO definitely. Without good SEO you cant succeed
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
I guess the biggest thing was that I didnt expect it to be such a success so quickly.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
The site has only been running for about 6 months. I will continue to run the site as long as it is working and earning money.
What is your main reason for the website?
Ive always wanted to work from home and try to get more sanity and peace in my life. As I have said before I dont care if I dont make millions but as long as I can survive on the income and have more time to spend with the family. Also to get out of the gravedigging industry as ive had enough!
