Please give us a short summary of your website?

Proscan offer a wide range of document scanning and document archiving services designed to save space and improve accessibility to company records and files. Our fully searchable PDF files and bespoke document management solutions make document retrieval simpler and faster than ever before.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

We needed a means of increasing our exposure to new customers.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

This was my first website launch and it went live in January of 2007.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

It includes part of the company name and represents what we do as a company.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

It is clear concise and informative without too much waffle.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To turnover £1,000,000 in a single year.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

So far so good although I do find it difficult getting listed in Google. We seem to have cracked Yahoo though.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I pay someone to engineer a load of quality backlinks to the site, and maybe have some cool flash stuff.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

I like to think so.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

None so far.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Getting listed in the search engines.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Pay per click but it is expensive.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

Not at all.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

Just over a year, I'll stick at it though, I'm not a quitter.

It advertises our services which include document scanning and document management.
