Virginia Workers Compensation Attorney Interview

By Interviewer at 05/02/08 08:35

Name of your website?

Virginia Workers Compensation Attorney

Your name?

Gerald G. Lutkenhaus

Your Location (city, etc)

Richmond

Please give us a short summary of your website?

For over 35 years, I have been representing injured workers in obtaining their benefits before the Virginia Workers Compensation Commission.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I wanted to educate the public and alert injured workers about my legal services.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

How did you decide on a name for your website?

I wanted to focus on Virginia Workers Compensation.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

In addition to telling workers about my services I offer short self help guides for Workers Compensation and Social Security Disability.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Probably, to help injured workers more effectively deal with insurance companies.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

I have had great success in obtaining nation wide presence on the web.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would add videos to my website.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

So far, I have had no problem.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

It is difficult to help workers who are a great distance away.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Returning to the website periodically and keeping it up to date.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Advertisement and probably writing short articles about legal subjects and submitting them to article places like ezine.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It is difficult to keep fresh information on the website.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

I think over 5 years and I intend to keep it going until I retire.

What is the hardest subject to educate people on when injured at work?

It is difficult to alert people to the fact that insurance companies are not always your best friends. The reason an insurance company takes your statement after an injury on the job is to find out if there are any defects in your claim which will result in a denial of your claim.

What is your website address?
