Thanks to the Chairman of Quicken Loans, Dan Gilbert, who happens to be a native of Detroit, the local economy may be getting a more positive boost than a government bailout.

Gilbert has founded a "entrepreneurship boot camp" hoping to revitalize an area devastated by a battered and bleeding manufacturing industry.

He created Bizdom U as a non-profit program that only takes one year to complete, and helps to train and fund would-be business people to start businesses in the Motor City.

Some lucky high school students were lucky enough last week to earn a visit from Blank in their economics class at Cate School, which is a private boarding school for students in grades 9-12.

Last week I enrolled into a distant learning course as part of my masters degree. But during the weekend, together with some friends I went to an island resort in the nearby province. Supposedly I am not to go with them because I had to finish a take home exam for the university that is schedule to be submitted by Monday.

So what I did was I took the exam papers in our outing and decided I will answer them even in the middle of my summer vacation.
