Designing Your Office: Office Walls For Maximum Productivity

By Office Bull at 07/18/08 02:47

Let's say that you have already decided on what must be the color of your office, the next thing to do is choosing what kind of wall must your office have. In many cases, walls are not being paid attention. Many choose just the ordinary one. That would be reasonable if you do not have spare budget for walling, but if you have, why not venture into the world of wall hunting.

Different colors appear differently on different kind of walls. Different businesses also needs to have their own specific walls. For example, if you own a music rehearsal studio, your walls must resemble like bumpy rocks. It must have different levels and rough texture so it will be able to absorb the sound.

Kids Do the Darndest Things

By Jennifer Burton at 07/15/08 11:17
My kids love the school shopping time of year. Especially when they get to go down the aisles and pick out all of the crayons, pencils, and folders they want. Of course, half of the school supplies we buy usually end up as playthings or get traded at school for who knows what.

My oldest just entered middle school this year and it will be the first time they are required to cover books. I bought some of those neat stretchy book covers so he could reuse them next year.

Rise To Fame Of The Arab Nations

By Office Bull at 07/13/08 14:05
Centuries ago, before the discovery of oil reserves, countries in the Middle East were ones considered to be the poorest nations. Geographically, this is not hard to justify. Their lands are mostly not conducive for farming because of the extreme hot weather and their soil are mostly sandy. This is the reason why history keeps on telling us that Arab nations are very persistent in conquering other lands, in search for good place to farm. But this trend was changed as soon as oil was discovered.

Now, many of the world's richest individuals got their stake from their gargantuan oil companies. Many citizens from the Middle East are now considered to be the wealthiest, and their race are said to be the richest. We have Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, Lebanon and of course, the King of rapid growth, the United Arab Emirates.

By Office Bull at 07/08/08 03:36
Sometimes, we came to a point where we realize we're no longer happy with what we are doing. The job you have now is not fulfilling and the thought of leaving your job is peeking from behind your minds.

How would you know if your job is no longer appropriate for you? I did a little survey over my friends who I can consider veterans in the corporate office world about the signs for you to know when to stop and look for something else.

Quality Vs. Leisure

By Office Bull at 07/07/08 04:22
Humans have the natural instinct of profiting from things that they do. It is the profitability of a certain thing that drives a person's instinct of creating a business. However, there are some instances wherein we forgot that its not just the profitability that is important, but also the quality and the reach scale of the product.

As a standard, companies embody the phrase "Quality Control". It's in this short phrase that most companies follow a certain rule, targeting every way of making the product to its best quality.

Becoming A Food Store Tycoon

By Office Bull at 07/04/08 19:19
One of my many dreams when I was younger was to become a proud owner of a restaurant chain. I first heard of McDonalds' luck of becoming a known fast food store worldwide and that actually gave me the motivation, aside from the inspiration from my family.

I know it sounds weird and almost impossible, but I fantasize of becoming a food tycoon in the future, a super tycoon! Who knows, I might bumped on a sack of million dollars one day and start my own food shop that will go globally. Lol.

Click Start > Bill Gates > Right Click > Remove From The List

By Office Bull at 07/01/08 06:14
Just recently, we all said goodbye to the brains behind the giant software company we all loved, well at least I loved him. Bill Gates, now 52, finally bid goodbye to the company he co-founded opposite Paul Allen. It is the same company that made him the world's richest person for 13 straight years and the company also made a couple of people billionaires through stocks when the company went public in 1986.

However, his resignation will mean more philanthropic activities. Now that he is already in the 'advance' age, it's time to think of being a full time philanthropist. However, I'm kinda worried of what will Microsoft's future be now that the guiding light was turned off.
