I was having a little rough day for almost a week now. It's been very stressful since that supposedly lucky 888 day, according to the Chinese. But it seems to me I'm experiencing just exactly what the opposite for luck would be. Well, I'm a bit busy piling up things and trying to keep things in normalcy because I'm having my house renovated at the moment, and if you will just see it, it's all a mess.
I brought my home office upstairs but that very action I did got me into trouble. The wires for my internet were damaged. One of the workers accidentally hammered a part of the wall where the wires are slid in. The round wire got flat and now my already intermittent intermittent internet connection just got worse.
To add more to my suffering, some of the CDs that contains programs and files for clients were damaged as well. These programs I'm talking about were delivered to me just 3 days ago for editing and I don't know what reason will I be giving them now that their program was destroyed. I hope they have a copy of it.
The other newer files were also lost. I always make back up files for my programs and important files, but this time I wasn't able to make one because I waw really busy with the renovation specially in the part of my home office and the kitchen. And besides, those files were young files, just about a day in my hands.
So people I suggest that you all make back ups to your every file. It is necessary and is required, especially if you work on things that rely on important program files, just like me.
And never attempt to renovate your home office without making sure all the important files are safe. As to my case, I regret about not planning the renovation at all. It's my fault and I have to suffer the consequences.
