The Christmas season is obviously over, but there are still a lot of marks it has left in our houses. Perhaps the gift wrappers from the gifts you received from your parents, siblings, friends and other relatives are still there in your trash cans. But before throwing it, haven't you thought of something more worthy to do about it?
That exactly what my friend was thinking when he decided to re-collect all those crashed gift wrappers. He collected them all and started making his very own masterpiece from all the gift wrappers of gifts he received. He did a wonderful paper mache item!
I have tried doing a paper mache once back in my elementary day, but after that, I have never never done it again. So when I saw my friend's masterpiece, a cool Snowman out of papers complete with paint, I was quite amazed. Now I'm thinking of doing my own paper mache.
I'm planning to collect newspapers and old bond papers from my parents office and in my own home office (although I think there are only a few left since I burned most of them a few weeks ago to get rid of the clutter). Maybe I can use old magazines though they will be a bit hard to mold because of their glossy properties. Perhaps I can just use the old gif wrappers just like what my friend did,
I'm trying to learn new ways of doing a paper mache and was trying to look for designs I might be interested in. I happen to stumble upon this video of a man doing a dragon paper mache! Watch it, it's so cool. I don't think I can replicate something as good as that, but I will try, at the least.
