For quite sometime now, I have this work in a cable company that creates specialized program that is suitable or rather adaptable to the vicinity where I am living. In fact, the programs we create are very confined to our area including the language, the location and the everyday life of the people here. One good point that I noticed here is that, they allow some locals to earn payment for every personal video they submit which can spark interest to the mass audience. Even if you're an amateur film maker, or just a video hobbyist and record everything out of fun, you can join.
One video I watched yesterday for screening is made by a student film maker. Obviously, he knows a bit about film making and that perhaps is the reason why the clip he did is pretty good.
But what I liked about it is the concept. The video is all about him and her mother. The video started a child actor, maybe his cousin in real life. The kid depicted him when he was still young and another girl supposedly his mother when she's still younger.
It revolved around them, running in fast forward mode. It showed what they usually do, the important occasions in their lives and even the ups and downs of it. The video ended showing the present-day him, reminiscing the days when his mom is still alive.
My supervisor agreed that this is the video for the week. We are actually looking for some creepy ones in time for the Halloween but for a change, we opted for the more dramatic one instead of the scary clips. For that, he earned $100. And a special place in our Hall of Fame for great workmanship.
