Starting A Small Business

By Office Bull at 06/24/08 06:33

I was intrigued with the title of this video, "Start A Business for Under $100 Dollars", so I watched it and thought pf sharing it with you.

YouTube Video

I would not comment on that video, I would just leave it all up to you. What I would like to share is my own personal experience on starting a small business. Its not as grand compared to Bill Gates, but I hope you learn something from it.

I started one of my first business with only a capital of $300, obviously a lot bigger than the one in the video. But it's not that high either for you turn back down. I have a photo studio and a small computer shop. The business I started with $300 was the photo studio.

I opened the studio in front of a high school academy. I chose the place because the teens where the ones who are eager to be photographed with their friends. I initially started with student affordable prices with different promos and deals.

It was not easy because I am not the only one who has a photo studio in the place. There are about three of us. It's just a matter of advertising and showing your skills to the public.

I had to put big photos outside the shop to attract customers and put promo leaflet on the doors. After a while, I thrived with the environment and learned that I am the most profitable studio out of my competitors.

Its not how much you have to start a business, I guess its how determine are you to pursue the business you want. Even if you don't have large capital for your business, you just have to have the confidence and courage. A nice advertisement, a good interaction with your customers and that's it. Just earn yourself a good reputation in the business and eventually you will be able to establish a good name and a good profit.
